Check whether there is power anywhere

Before you connect electrical products to the power grid, it is important that you check whether the power has been turned off. Of course you understand why! In this article you can read how the power can be turned off and how you can then check whether the voltage has actually gone off. Read on quick!

Turn off the power in just a few steps and then check

As promised, we will now tell you in steps how to remove the tension and then check this. The first thing you need to do is disconnect the power in the distribution box. You often deal with different groups and that is why you remove the voltage one by one, so that you can find out which group the electrical product is on. As soon as the product turns off when a certain group is switched off, you know that you need this group.

Now that you know which group the electrical product is connected to, it is important that you double check whether the voltage is actually off. You can do this with a so-called voltage tester. A voltage tester is a handy tool that can be used to locate electrical voltage. When you touch electricity with the voltage finder and you hold your finger against the back of the viewfinder, you make contact with the voltage and when there is electrical voltage, the light in the viewfinder will light up. Then you know that the power has not gone off yet.

In this case, it is advisable to disable all groups, so that you can be sure that you can work safely.
